Sustainability
Sustainability data you can stand behind
Sustainability data was gathered once a year by email and spreadsheet, apart from the finance and operations data behind it. We found where effort and evidence were being lost, and are bringing it onto Microsoft Dynamics 365 with automation and AI built in.

- Sustainability figures traceable to their source, held in the same system as the finance and operations data behind them.
The situation.
Energy, emissions, waste and supplier data arrived by email and spreadsheet, usually once a year and under deadline. Every report meant chasing the same people for the same numbers, with little evidence behind them.
How we are getting there.
01 · Identify
Where data and money leak
- The same figures gathered several times by different teams
- Supplier numbers with no trail back to a source document
- Energy and waste cost spikes spotted months after they happened
02 · Optimise
What we are optimising
- One data model for energy, emissions, waste and suppliers
- A clear owner and evidence for every data point
- A reporting calendar everyone works to
03 · Automate
What we are automating
- Collection from meters, utility invoices and supplier submissions
- Validation checks before a figure is accepted
- Report packs generated from the same data
04 · Enable AI
Where AI is being enabled
Copilot Studio agents, with custom AI built on Claude where it fits
- Reads utility invoices and supplier documents, and extracts figures with their source
- Flags readings that break from the expected pattern
- Drafts narrative sections for people to review and approve
